ON EDIT: I don't want to hear 'sorry for your loss', or some other form of sympathy. I wrote this for the fact that I want my friends to know. I don't need fake sympathy from people who just wandered across this journal. Fake sympathy just makes me angry. Thank you.

Another loss.

This Friday, around 4 PM, we lost our dog, Ginger.

She was swimming in the lake, and had a heart attack. My sister, mother, and family friend Terry rushed to see if they could bring her back, but there was nothing they could do.

I wasn't there when it happened, I merely heard it second hand. The loss of our family dog still hasn't hit, as I've been without her all summer, but, I'm fairly certain it will hit soon enough. She was a wicked dog. Anyone who has met her before will probably agree.

My sister took her to get cremated the same night. She took it the hardest. But, we're all taking it relatively well. I was going up to the cottage this weekend anyway, and had time to sit with my family and talk about what happened.

Ginger would have turned 10 this year, if I have my dates correct. That's still fairly young for a dog of her breed. But, she lived a good, happy life.

Goodbye Ginger. We had some killer times.

Awww, that's really sad.. The loss of a close family pet can sometimes be the worst feeling.

Like, how I cried really hard when my hamster died (as pathetic as that probably sounds), and I had to bury her myself in the front yard;;

It was a fun weekend, regardless. Jon, Bryan and I jumped off a cliff. O:

aww. Shmoo passed away? I guess it's better than her suffering from...CH, was it?

I'm pretty mellow when it comes to Ginger's passing. It'll be weird not having her here when everyone gets back to work, but I'm sure I can deal. Now, if FRITZ passed away, that's a whole other story. xD;;

Yay for jumping off cliffs!

Shmoo didn't actually have ch.. the first vet we went to was too dense to realize she had a tumor that was separating her legs. At her end it was the size of a golf ball so we put her down. She was also losing her mucle functions and couldn't keep her head from swaying side to side. D:

..it was kinda funny. XD

i'll miss seeing ginger hopping up stairs. ):

if fritz died i would buy you cheesecake and maybe a pony. :D

How can I vet overlook a tumor? Oo

At least you noticed it before it got too, too terrible. It would've sucked if she had to be in a bunch of pain, and you guys didn't know what was going on. That's why Ginger dying was such a shock. If she had gotten sick and we had to put her down, we would've at least gotten the chance to prepare ourselves, y'know?

Fritz still has a long while to go until she bites the bullet, so your wallet is safe...for now. ;D

the vet was dumb.. when my dad asked if the cat had ch, the vet replied "what's that?" lol.

Ginger was a huge shock! and i'm so sorry it happened. ): she was the kewlest dog around hands down~

And when that bullet comes, i'll make sure that.. my dads wallet.. is nice and full! :D!

Aw man. That actually just depressed me, man.

And Steph sends her condolences as well.

Ginger was an awesome dog. At least she had a happy life, right?

Sadness.

I can't tell you how bad it was for me to bury my cats...
