Taken:
I could be kind of biased on this, since I've always enjoyed the entire "father going after his daughter cause he loves her somuch" thing...but this movie had me fucking PUMPED. Liam Neeson was the perfect man for the part. And his beginning speech on the phone when his daughter was taken...AFFDSOGHRT. DID THAT MAKE ANYONE ELSE FUCKING PUMPED?! Apparently Bruce Willis was originally considered for the main roll. As much as I love the roll...srry Bruce. You already did the 'rescue daughter' thing. Remember Die Hard 4? yeah. srry bb.
Coraline:
THIS MOVIE FUCKING SURPRISED ME. I thought it would be one of those...awwsocute stop-frame movies...but it twisted around and became kinda...creepy to me. The story was pretty cool. But, at certain points I found the animation to be really sloppy. Plus. Near the end it started to move super fast, like they went 'AWW SHIT WE'RE RUNNING OUTTA TIME SPEED IT UP'. The voice acting was kinda botched too. Coraline's voice flip-flopped like crazy. The only voice I really felt suited the character was "The Mother". It was touching but had a hint of insanity to it. x:
Watchmen:
I SAW IT FIRST NIGHT YAY GO ME. ANYWAY. Although this movie was pretty badass in the ways of fighting and general plot, all it REALLY was...was an assortment of character explanations. Not even FULL character explanations, might I add. The last twenty minutes were completey...wtf...and MY FAVORITE FUCKING CHARACTER DIED. Rorschach made the movie for me. His sick sense of humor and time in jail made him such a badass. Along with him my second favorite was obviously Dr. Manhatten. His view of humans as a whole was really...morbid? And the influx of blue dick was pretty fabulous as well. EVEN THOUGH HIS 'ROMANCE' WAS SO FUCKING BORING. Fight scenes were epic. Even if I could go watch 300 for the exact same thing...but with more abs...and yelling.
I think I'll go do that.
Defiance:
Loved. This. Movie. Easy as that. Acting was AMAZING, and the story was simply fantastic. It was so emotional, but for some reason a pansy like me didn't cry. It had me on the edge of my sit gasping at certain parts. I even grew attached to the huge camp they made. I was pissed when it was blown up. That place was awesome! Seeing Defiance made me super excited to see Liev Schreiber in X-Men Origins as Sabertooth. Not as much as a heart throb as Daniel Crieg, but still a sexy beast.
I CAN'T WAIT FOR X-MEN ORIGINS BTW. OMG.
...back to werk naow.

My friends tell me it was 1 hour action, 1 hour backstory, 1 hour sex. Is there any truth to this? o:

And yeah Rorschach (Jackie Earle Haley) was beautiful in the movie. I cried at the end ;___;
still needing to see Coraline. I also thought it was gonna be something cute/sweet too. When people told me it was actually creepy, it makes me want to see it more

It is not God who kills the children. Not fate that butchers them or destiny that feeds them to the dogs. Its us. Only us.
There wasn't THAT much sex. Just a lot of penis. And the sex scenes were really awkward. NOT AT ALL SEXY.

I liked Coraline too. I was kind of iffy about it at first, since I had been hearing mixed views about it, but it was pretty cool. Trippy, but cool. It was super imaginative as well, so that was another plus in my books. xD

or i thought it was. like a "wait! there's more!"
like in Happy feet... where they finnaly accept the outcast into the group and realize how wonderful he is. it could've stopped there, but no. they had to go find the "aliens." sure they did have something to say with it but it really wasn't that... necessary. i suppose...
Watchmen... I haven't actually seen the movie but that sounds like a pretty accurate description of the book. Most of it was character development. they wasted no time getting to the flashbacks but i think that's what made it soo long. Rorschach was my favorite character too but all good things must come to an end. And Bubastis. I think even though i didn't really like her at all (maybe it was just the way they drew her), i was sad when she died... u_u
Taken... i haven't seen and the previews don't really make me care enough to watch it...
never heard of Defiance.

I learned so much the first time I baby-sat. I couldnt just warm up any old formula. She was lack toast and tolerant.
