laptop woes

For the past while I had been avoiding my laptop like the plague. After using my desktop to work I've come to realize that the colours on my laptop are shit and are no where near what they should be. However, no matter what I do, and no matter how long I tinker with the settings, I can't get the colours to look as good as they do on my desktop. Granted my monitor for my desktop is probably far superior to this little fucker...but still.
I've tried many a calibration program but nothing has proven to work. While I can get my brightness and contrast levels to what they should be (at least according to the many 'guides' out there, as well as my own opinion), the colours just don't look right. I know because I've been comparing pictures. I have the same thing open on my desktop and laptop and they just look ridiculously different. Reds, especially. My laptop HATES red.
This sucks, because I would love to lounge downstairs and do some work while watching TV. However, I can't. I'm really picky and since I KNOW the colours on my laptop aren't up to par I physically can't bring myself to do any art related stuff on this thing.
Also, any of the work I HAVE done on it up till now, looks really dull on my desktop. That being one of the reasons I know it's fucked.
Bleh. It's just annoying. I've spent the past hour and a half trying to fuck around with it. I figure I'll spend the next while doing the same. Maybe I'll get it close...hopefully.

I just checked one of my prints (the vesnali one); and it looks fine printed on paper (lol, got it from dA print); but it does look a tad dull on my laptop. I guess I won't have to worry about saturating colors and whatnot then XDD

I bought Orange Box for Kitty awhile back and he got into it. Spy was totally the class for him since that's just how he is. I often would sit with him while he played the game. He became pretty damn good at playing Spy. I watched him get 12 kills in a row one time, and that apparently isn't even his record. xD
ohoh. Hard choice. I've sketched all of them (which I'll be sendin' your way once I get back onto my desktop), and I have to say I had the most fun with the decora one. Buuut...iunno. I think I liked the refs for the twins the best! I really like their designs and their bright colours are just so refreshing. x3

Gosh, Spy was the first character that I played with...I can't remember how I died lol. Medic's my fave~ <33 I've played Engineer quite a bit but now that I've started playing Medic, I don't want to switch back to Engi (especially having to wait forever until someone walks in the Intelligence Room to get killed by my Sentry ;/) I wouldn't dare leave my Sentry for too long 'cause I was paranoid and didn't want any Spies to sap it! XDDD FFF Kitty is good! ;c

He plays Sniper too. He didn't before but after the Huntsman was added he got really into it. Sniper was often times his favorite class in other FPSs so it was kind of a no brainer that he'd get into it eventually. But Spy is where it's at for him. He IS a pretty cool character after all. Although the Medic is voiced by are favourite character from Final Fantasy Tactics...ever since we learned that we've been waiting with baited breath for the Meet the Medic video.
Aah I like their colours cause they're vibrant and colours you don't normally see. Plus they're gunna be super fun to work with, I wager. 83

My dad didn't like the idea of spending approx. 100$ (game+VMWare Fusion thingy) just for my game!! XDD -is on a mac- I got several other PCs at home but my mac is so much faster! >.<;;

When I was drawing their refs, I had problems with their hoodies 'cause I couldn't get the gradient right...I was rather frustrated with my OCs' colours!! XD But then my friend found that we could have as many colours as with the gradient and then I became happy again~ lol
TEY R SO VIBRAN TAT IT WILL MAKE UR EYES BLEEDED!!! DDD'8< I found that looking at their hair for a certain amount of time, it hurt my eyes ;-; lol
